Hybrid Guest Lecture by Prof. Dr. Stamatia Devetzi (University of Fulda - Germany)

The lecture will elaborate on the comparative legal aspects of the challenges that the COVID-19
pandemic posed on national social security systems. It focuses on the experiences of selected European countries (Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden). Moreover, the implications for EU social security coordination law within this context will be highlighted.
The main findings presented are based on the research of the academic collaborative project between the University of Fulda and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the financial support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Foreign Office of German Republic.
