Constantin Calavros

Professor, President of the Hellenic Association for Arbitration, Managing Partner, Calavros Law Firm-Filios-Kloukinas, Athens

Professor Constantin Calavros is the founder and managing partner of Calavros Law Firm-Filios-Kloukinas.

He is a Professor of Civil Procedure and International Arbitration Law at the Democrition University of Thrace. Professor Calavros heads the litigation and dispute resolution department of the Firm. He specializes in national and international litigation and arbitration. He has represented numerous clients before national courts of all degrees, the European Union Court in Luxembourg and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Professor Calavros also deals with restructuring and companies' reorganisation, outsourcing and insolvency procedures. He has supervised and advised on some of the largest and most high-profile deals in the Greek market that range from corporate reorganisations to debt restructuring (including distressed debt and NPLs), and formal insolvency such as bankruptcy, judicial composition or liquidation. In this regard, he has acted as an advisor to Greek state controlled companies, Greek Government and ministers, especially in relation to privatization initiatives.

Professor Calavros acting as an external advisor to the Greek Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE) has also obtained in depth experience in pharmaceutical law and competition law matters.

Professor Calavros has been a member of various drafting committees which have revised Greek Civil Procedure Code.

Stavros Brekoulakis

Professor, Michael & Laura Hwang Professor in International Arbitration, Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore

Stavros Brekoulakis is the Michael and Laura Hwang Chair in International Arbitration at the National University of Singapore.

Stavros is the author of eight monographs, books and edited volumes and more than 30 articles in leading peer-reviewed law journals and is the General Editor of the Journal of International Dispute Settlement; Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Arbitration, Mediation and Dispute Management; the Co-editor of Kluwer's International Arbitration Law Library Series; and deputy Editor of Arbitration International.

Stavros has led several policy projects and advised governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organisations, including as Co-Chair of the International Council of Commercial Arbitration Task Force on Third Party Funding; member of the London Bar Reform Committee; the Steering Committee of the UNCITRAL Academic Forum on Investor-State Dispute Settlement; the Investment Expert Trade Advisory Group of the UK Department for International Trade, Governing body of ICCA; LCIA Court; and ICC'S Commission on Arbitration.

Anna Mantakou

Antonias Dimolitsa

Independent Arbitrator, Athens - Paris

Antonias Dimolitsa has extensive experience in arbitration. She has served as President, Sole Arbitrator, Co-arbitrator and Counsel in numerous international arbitration proceedings, under the Rules of the ICC, LCIA, CEPANI, UNCITRAL, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. She has been President twice of ad hoc Committees in ICSID Annulment Proceedings.

Her areas of specialization include private international law, agency and distribution, construction, energy, EU law, foreign investment, international sales of goods, joint ventures.

She is the author of numerous articles on international arbitration and a frequent speaker in international conferences on international commercial contracts and arbitration.

For twelve years (1988-2000), she was member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. She was member of the ICC working group on the revision (1998) of the Arbitration Rules and as Vice-President of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and member of the DSC Committee she also participated in the 2012 revision of the ICC Rules. She was Vice-President of the IBA Arbitration Committee and member of the IBA Subcommittee on the revision of the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration (2010). She was Vice-President of the ICC Institute of Word Business Law (2011-2020).

Ms Dimolitsa is Council Member of the Greek Arbitration Association, Member of the Club of Arbitrators of the Milan Chamber of National and International Arbitration, and Athens Correspondent of the International Arbitration Institute (IAI). She is also Greece's designee to the ICSID panel of arbitrators.

Jeffrey Sullivan KC

Partner, Debevoise & Plimpton, London

London partner Jeff Sullivan KC is Co-Chair of Debevoise's International Dispute Resolution Group and of the firm's European Disputes Group. Mr. Sullivan's practice focusses on international arbitration and public international law.

Mr. Sullivan is one of the market's leading and most respected advocates, representing clients in commercial and investor-state arbitrations before all the major arbitral institutions. He also regularly sits as an arbitrator, and advises clients in all aspects of public international law.

Mr. Sullivan has advised clients from a range of sectors and regions, but has a particularly deep practice focussed on disputes in the energy, extractive industries and infrastructure sectors.

His experience includes disputes involving long-term supply agreements, concession agreements, production sharing and operating agreements, joint venture agreements, EPC and other construction agreements.

Ana Stanič

Founder of E&A Law, London

Ana founded E&A Law in 2007 following 12 years of working in government and major legal firms. Based in London since 1998. She has always operated internationally and is multilingual. She specialises in providing tailored advice and legal representation services to states, international institutions and energy companies in the fields of Energy, Dispute Resolution, EU and International Law.

Ana's vision in founding E&A Law was in direct response to clients' desire for an independent firm that could work flexibly, interdisciplinary and quickly to address their needs. This is not always possible within the structure of large traditional law firms.

In the field of energy she advises on high-level strategic questions, with experience in fields such as maritime border disputes, oil and gas resources straddling boundaries, concession agreements to construct large energy infrastructure projects, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and host-government agreements to build pipelines.

Reza Mohtashami KC

Partner, Three Crowns, London

Reza is a partner of Three Crowns in the London office. In his more than 25 years of practice, he has represented clients as counsel and advocate in arbitrations conducted under a variety of arbitral rules in many different jurisdictions. He also appears as an advocate before domestic and international courts in arbitration-related matters.

Reza has previously practiced in Paris, New York and Dubai, where he established the Middle East dispute resolution practice of a leading international law firm. He has particular expertise in disputes arising in emerging markets, including in investor-state arbitrations.

Reza regularly acts as arbitrator and has been appointed in more than 20 arbitrations. Craig Tevendale

Partner, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, London

Craig co-leads Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer's global energy sector practice and also heads our international arbitration group in London.

Craig has extensive experience in litigation, expert determination and mediation with a particular focus on disputes in the energy, leisure, construction, engineering, defence and telecommunications industries. His practice comprises multi-jurisdictional work subject to a wide range of governing laws.

Craig has acted in arbitrations as counsel, advocate and arbitrator in ad hoc proceedings and before all of the major arbitral institutions, including, in particular the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA). He has also acted in complex litigation cases before the English High Court (including the Queen's Bench, the Commercial Court, and the Technology and Construction Court) and the Court of Appeal.

His broader contribution to the arbitral community includes appointments to the ICC UK National Committee for Arbitration, to the ICC Commission upon the nomination of the ICC UK National Committee, as elected Chair to the Advisory Committee of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), and Deputy Chairman at the Advisory Committee to the Oman Arbitration Centre (OAC). Dimitrios Katsikis

Dimitrios represents companies, State-owned entities and governments in international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, as well as in pre- and post-arbitration negotiations, strategy, and claims management.

Dimitrios represents clients in the power, oil & gas, energy, construction and mining industries, as well as in disputes relating to mergers & acquisitions. He has worked in arbitrations under major arbitration rules such as ICC, ICSID, LCIA, LMAA, SIAC, UNCITRAL, and CRCICA as well as on arbitration-related litigation before the English, French, Swiss, Dutch, Indonesian and Pakistan courts. Claire Sergaki

Claire advises and represents companies and State-owned entities in domestic and international arbitrations under ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, ICSID, and Greek arbitration rules and has been appointed to the list of arbitrators at the EODID Athens Mediation & Arbitration. Her expertise spans disputes in the energy, construction, financial, and defense sectors, including concession agreements.

Lito Dokopoulou

Lito Dokopoulou is a Senior Associate at Calavros Law Firm-Filios-Kloukinas since 2025.

Ms Dokopoulou acts as counsel in international commercial arbitration proceedings (mainly governed by ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL and domestic rules), and represents clients before civil courts, with a special focus on cross-border litigation covering the whole range of civil, commercial and corporate disputes and private international law matters. She has further provided pre-litigation / arbitral strategic advice to clients and is experienced in developing dispute avoidance strategies. Lito has also specialized in sports arbitration (under CAS) and anti- doping matters (under WADA Code).

She has previously practiced at leading law firms of Athens and in the arbitration practices of top-tier international firms of Paris.

Ms Dokopoulou serves as Vice President of the ICC Hellas Arbitration Committee. She is included in the closed list of arbitrators maintained by the European Commission for state-to-state dispute settlement in bilateral trade disputes, as well as on the roster of the Athens Mediation & Arbitration Organization (EODID). Nadine Debbas Achkar

Nadine Debbas Achkar is a Chartered Arbitrator specializing in international arbitration. Currently, she serves primarily as arbitrator and has been appointed as Presiding Arbitrator, Sole Arbitrator or Co-Arbitrator in numerous arbitrations arising from a wide range of disputes (both institutional arbitrations as well as ad hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules).

Nadine is a Member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) International Court of Arbitration (2024-2027), a Co-Chair of the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy - Middle East, and a Member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration & ADR and of the Working Group on Expedited Procedures. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

In addition, in January 2022, Nadine was appointed by Royal Decree as a Judge on the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

From 2008 until 2011, Nadine served as the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation PJSC, an industrial investment holding company mandated by the Abu Dhabi Government to be a key contributor to Abu Dhabi's Economic Vision 2030.

Raëd Fathallah

Raëd Fathallah, Partner, Bredin Prat, is a member of the firm's International Arbitration team.

He acts as counsel in large-scale investment and commercial arbitrations, in which he represents corporations, sovereign States and State entities. Over the past 25 years, he has acted as counsel or as arbitrator, in more than 200 proceedings, both ad hoc or under the major Rules (including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC, UNCITRAL, DIAC, BCDR, CRCICA and OHADA).

Alexander Marcopoulos

Alexander is a partner in the Paris office of Hughes Hubbard and a member of the firm's International Arbitration practice, representing companies and states in high-stakes international projects and disputes.

With more than 15 years of international experience, Alexander provides strategic advice and advocacy in commercial, investor-state and maritime arbitrations carried out under the auspices of a variety of institutional and ad hoc rules, including those of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA). In the energy sector, Alexander advises clients on matters related to the supply and transport of natural gas and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). Spyridon Tsantinis

Attorney-at-law (since 1991; since 1999 before the Supreme Court). He specializes in commercial and civil litigation and arbitration. His court practice includes disputes deriving from commercial esp. banking contracts, competition violations, insolvency and bankruptcy, enforcement proceedings. Cassation law expert, he has frequent presence before Areios Pagos (the Hellenic Supreme Court).

He has acted as legal counsel of well-known foreign and domestic businesses. Since 1996 he is part of the Legal Services Division of the "National Bank of Greece", Greece's oldest and largest bank, where he has served as Head of the Division for Litigation of Special Interest (2015-2018); currently he holds the position of Head of the Division for Internal Evaluation.

Also active as arbitrator, in both national and international (ICC) arbitrations.

Professor Tsantinis has acted as Head or Member of various legislative committees. Member of the Legal Council of Democritus University of Thrace (2009-2016) and chairman of Public Auction Committee of same university (2009-2011 and 2017).

He teaches regularly national and international Civil Procedure at the National School of Judges.

Professor Tsantinis is the author of books and articles on various topics of national and international civil procedure, civil and commercial law and litigation and contract law.

Gregory Pelecanos

Gregory is Senior Partner at Ballas Pelecanos Law. He heads our firm's Competition & Distribution, Banking & Finance / Capital Markets and Energy practice groups, and co-heads our Corporate & Commercial, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Consumer Rights & Product Liability, Public and Defence Procurements and Dispute Resolution practice groups, and participates in our firm's Data Privacy practice group. A member of the Athens Lawyers' Association since 1982, he is admitted to argue before the Supreme Court and Council of State. He speaks and writes fluent Greek and English.

He studied law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1978-1982) and holds an LL.M. (Class of 1983) from University College London, in Intellectual Property (joint course with LSE), Competition Law, Company Law (joint course with LSE) and International Economic Law. He has also attended the long term seminar on Greek Tax Law Course at the Hellenic Center of Productivity (1989) and King's College London's "Economics of Competition Law" distance learning course (2008).

His career includes holding the posts of Chairman of the Computer Law Committee of the Greek Computer Society; Committee Member on the drafting the Rules and Regulations of the Athens Derivatives Exchange; Adjunct Faculty at the American College of Greece (Business Law and EU Law); Member of the Board of Directors of EKO Chemicals and Refinery S.A., ERGOSE S.A. (railroad infrastructure) and DEP-EKY S.A. (oil exploration and drilling).

Before entering into private practice, Gregory worked as in-house counsel for Mobil Oil Hellas S.A., (1984-1991) and has served as General Legal Counsel of Toyota Hellas S.A., (1991-1993).

Gregory is an active member of many professional organizations, including the EU Automotive Law Group and the International Chamber of Commerce (Greek Chapter, Arbitration Section). He is also the Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hellenic – German Chamber of Commerce (2018 to-date).

In addition to advising clients, he regularly litigates before courts and has extensive international and Greek arbitration experience. Notable related litigation he has been involved in includes: securing the largest ever single fine against a dominant company for abusive practices by the HCC and reversing on grounds of agency at the Court of Appeals and the Council of State an HCC decision on vertical price fixing. His arbitration experience is also extensive, under ICC, LCIA, Greek International Arbitration and domestic rules, involving multimillion awards in state procurements, such as the celebrated Athens 2004 C4I dispute, and successfully defending a client, in two separate cases, against multimillion-dollar allegations of bribery and damages arising from a RES construction project.

Legal journals have published dozens of court judgments on cases he has argued. He has authored articles, edited and contributed to legal books and written the country chapters for a variety of publications on many IP, computer law, agency and distribution, Greek and European Union competition law, bankruptcy law, arbitration law and investment law matters, and also regularly lectures and presents topics at conferences on competition, arbitration and IP issues in Greece and abroad.
